We had a chance to visit the Sidney Art Gallery and had no idea what a treat we were going to experience. The gallery is located at 202 Sidney Avenue in Port Orchard Wa. Quoting from their website “Located a block up the hill from downtown Port Orchard and the marina, the Sidney Gallery is a terrific place to find artistic treasures by renowned and emerging artists.” It was such a thoroughly enjoyable visit, partially because of the hostess who gave us information about each piece of art and each artist. Then to our delight she gave us permission to tour the Sidney Museum upstairs and also sent us to view the Log Cabin Museum literally just down the street.

Summer Time boating fun on Miller Bay and at Indianola

Summer just would not be summer without some time spent boating on the salty waters of the puget sound. The kids really enjoy wave jumping, geting splashed, wet and wild while keeping cool.

Truth be told I have just as much fun as the kids!

After wave Jumping, we like to go check our crab pot and see if we caught any Dungeness crab. This time out we had around seven crab in the pot, and although I was being very careful not to get pinched, when I reached in I did not see the crab right under the one I was reaching for and it pinched me good. It drew first blood.

A Walk At Battle Point Park On Bainbridge Island

We had the opportunity to take a long walk at Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island recently. The park is large, 90 acres with mainly open space with ponds, 1.5 mile paved walking trail, bike trail, well equipped children’s playground, soccer fields, softball fields, tennis courts, community garden, picnic and sitting areas, and of all things, a roller hockey court.
