The following are the minutes of the Auxiliary meeting of March 7th.
 
The meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary was held on March 7th, 2012, with six members present.
 
Commander Don Spinar of Post 245 was also in attendance.
 
Clara Smith reported on the Auxiliary's work party for Tray Favors for the Veterans at Retsil.  The Tray Favors were put on trays on Valentine's Day.  It was held at Clara's house on February 11th and Marcia Stanyan took them to Retsil on February 13th.  Eight members attended plus Clara's son, Joe.
 

Next item on the agenda was Poppy Sales.  After a lengthy discussion a motion was made and seconded to donate our 500 poppies (already purchased) to Post 245.
 
Boys and Girls State interviews are being conducted.  So far Post 245 has 17 nominees.  A motion was made and seconded to donate the amount in our Youth Fund; $263.96; to Post 245 to be used with their Youth Fund.  Our treasurer handed Don Spinar a check in the amount of $263.96.
